2025 Summer Reading Program

Saturday, August 16, 2025 is the last day to turn in completed reading logs and collect prizes.

Summer Reading Program Details

Participation

  • Everyone is welcome to participate in the weekly programs and/or the reading challenge.
  • You do not need a Kuna Library card to participate.
  • You do not have to sign up to participate in the weekly programs.
  • You may attend the program for one week, two weeks, or all weeks.
  • You do need to sign up to participate in one of the reading challenges. 

The Reading Challenges

  • The challenge begins May 31, 2025.
  • All completed reading logs must be turned in by Saturday, August 16, 2025. Library hours on Saturday are 10:30 am – 3:00 pm.
  • Three age groups:
    0-2 challenge: Practice early literacy skills every day
    3-12 challenge: Read 20 minutes each day
    Teens and adults: Read a total of 8 books during June and July. 
  • Bring your log to the library for a prize after you complete “reading log #1.”
  • After completing “reading log #1 and 2,” return your log to Kuna Library (starting July 30, 2025) for a free book.

Signing up

  • You may sign up during our designated sign-up week, June 2 to 7, 2025,  or any time during the program.
  • You do NOT have to sign up to participate in the weekly programs.
  • You DO have to sign up to participate in a challenge and receive an at-home reading log.

Weekly Programs

  • Sessions are offered on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Each week we’ll have several activities centered around that week’s theme.
  • The activities are the same on both days, but change each week.
  • Thursdays at 1:00, join us for a movie.
