Outreach Programs
Kuna Library Outreach Program
If you’re interested in scheduling an event with our outreach librarian
Please call Emily at Kuna Library (208) 922-1025.
Kuna Library is passionate about getting out into the community and meeting our patrons where they are. Through our Outreach Program, our Community Outreach Specialist provides a fitness class to seniors and works to bring knowledge and love for early literacy to local preschools, daycares, and students in the Kuna School District area. Offering storytimes, fun crafts, and educational activities to community classrooms gives students access to library services they may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience. We love partnering with local businesses and working together with other members of the community to share a love of reading with as many people as possible. If you would like to learn more about any of the Outreach Programs we offer, please get in touch with Emily at Kuna Library (208) 922-1025.

Book Sharing @ Falcon Ridge Charter School
Kuna Library is pleased to partner with Falcon Ridge Charter School to bring books and stories to the Falcon Ridge Elementary Students. Twice a month, Librarian Emily visits the school with a selection of books from the Kuna Library collection. After reading a story to each class, the students can check out a book from the selection that Librarian Emily brought to the school.

Field Trips to the Library
Visiting the library makes a great field trip for preschool-age kids. During the scheduled field trip we’ll have a special music and movement class, storytime and a scavenger hunt for the attendees to learn about the many things the library has to offer and where to find those things in the library. To schedule a field trip for your group contact Emily at (208) 922-1025 or ematta@kunalibrary.org.

Outreach Storytimes
During the school year, the Kuna Library partners with local daycares, elementary schools, and preschools to bring monthly storytimes to students in their classrooms. These storytimes include monthly themes and educational activities, allowing students to interact with each other and gain an appreciation for reading.

StoryWalk®
As you enjoy the Kuna Greenbelt, be sure to check out the story in our StoryWalk boards located along the east loop of the Greenbelt. The east section is located on the east side of Swan Falls Road. The boards are numbered 1-18, with arrows pointing to the next board. The story changes each month.
