There is a lot going on with our Mayor's Book Club program! 😍

On Thursday, April 11, 2024, book club members met with Mayor Stear to discuss the book The Penderwicks. We are pretty sure they made time to have fun, too!

Then on Friday, April 12, 2024, registration for our next MBC session, and last for this spring 😳, opened and continues until May 2, 2024, or until we run out of books.
This session, we're reading the book, The Van Gogh Deception, the story of Art Hamilton, a 12-year-old who is discovered in Washington DC's National Gallery without any recollection of who he is or why he's in the gallery.

MBC is open to all kids in 4th - 6th grades. Stop by the library to register and pick up a free copy of the book!

This week at Kuna Library, most of our programs are running as scheduled, and our kids' programs have fun spring themes, including sports, weather, and Greek Mythology!
Wednesday, After the Bell is not offered. Our programs team will be handing out books at the Kuna School District kindergarten open houses! 📚🥳
On Friday, we have a special guest at our Homeschoolers @ the Library program, Mary from the Potted Blossom will be teaching us about plants, and then everyone can plant their own seed start to take home. 🌻

Remember, if you're out on the Kuna Greenbelt, you can read the book "How do you Wokka-Wokka?" on our StoryWalk boards. If you scan the QR codes on the book, you'll find fun dance videos that you can do right on the greenbelt! 🥳

Our last but by no means least post during National Library Week is about the online resources available through Kuna Library. These resources are available anytime and anywhere you’re online. All these resources are free; some require logging in with your Kuna Library card.
The things you can access online include:
▪️ Browsing for and placing holds on items in a collection of any library in the Lynx Consortium
▪️ Find learning materials for homeschool education
▪️ Learn through free online classes
▪️ Listen to an audiobook
▪️ Play games
▪️ Read an eBook
▪️ Read the Idaho Statesman or the New York Times
▪️ Research
▪️ And so much more!
