Changes effective Monday, November 11, 2024
We are excited to announce the library is expanding and remodeling!
The project includes adding study rooms, multi-use rooms, office spaces, painting, and new flooring!
During the project, the library and some library services will undergo changes.
Below is a list of the changes effective 11/11/2024
TIMELINE
August 2024-Early 2025
HOURS beginning November 11, 2024
The main library building is closed for painting and new flooring. Limited library services will be offered in a pop-up building located in the north parking lot.
PARKING
Parking will be limited, especially during busy times.
ENTRANCE
The pop-up library has an entrance door and an exit door.
BROWSING
We’ll have limited browsing for fiction books.
HOLDS
Holds requested from other Lynx Consortium libraries are available for pickup M-F 9:30 am – 1:30 pm.
RETURNS
Items may be returned at the pop-up during open hours and anytime at our dropbox located on the north side of the building by the shed.
RESTROOMS
Restrooms are not available at this time.
ROOM USE
There are no rooms available for use at this time.
PATRON COMPUTERS
There are no computers available for use at this time.
PRINTING/FAXING
Printing and faxing services are not available at this time.
NOISE AND DUST
Not in the pop-up. 🙂

November 2024
Framing in doors and windows, ductwork, and installing insulation have been happening in the new addition.
Demolition is also underway; the entryway tile has been removed, and a sidewalk on the east side of the building has been replaced.
The addition’s exterior is taking shape, and the prep work for the stucco is completed.
On 11/7/2024, the building for our pop-up library arrived. The pop-up is set up and ready for patrons to visit and return items, pick up holds, and browse our limited collection.
On 11/11/2024, we began operating out of the pop-up library, and renovations to the existing building began!

1. Carts for storing and moving books were delivered to the library.
2. The carts were loaded with items from the adult, teen, young adult, and DVD sections and then rolled into the children’s room, cataloging room, and main entryway.
3. Shelves were unbolted and moved.
4. Old flooring was removed.
5. Painting began.
6. New flooring is underway.
October 2024
Framing the walls continues.
The roof trusses were installed on Thursday, October 17. The roof was added and covered, and the framing of the new rooms continued.
Demolition and framing for a new cataloging area was done.
August – September 2024
The construction fence was installed on August 22, 2024, and demolition began the following week.
Landscaping was removed, and stucco remediation began.
Foundation preparation began, the foundation was poured, and more ground preparation was done.
Then, demolition of the former offices began, along with removal of the large windows in the entryway. Once the windows were removed, the framing for the new entryway wall was completed.
